Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organization or team, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without permission
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3. Acceptable Use

3.1 Permitted Use

The Platform is provided for lawful educational purposes — specifically, learning binary exploitation, reverse engineering, and cybersecurity concepts through structured challenges and curriculum.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use skills, knowledge, or tools gained from the Platform to attack, compromise, or access systems you do not own or have explicit written permission to test
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, its servers, or other users' accounts
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Platform's infrastructure beyond what is explicitly permitted by challenge design
• Cheat in CTF competitions — including using automated solvers, sharing flags outside your team, or exploiting unintended scoring vulnerabilities
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any content designed to disrupt the Platform
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use the Platform to train AI models or scrape data at scale without prior written permission
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Platform

4. CTF Competition Rules

• Each CTF competition will have specific rules posted at time of launch; those rules supplement these Terms
• Team size limits are enforced as specified per competition; registering more members than permitted is grounds for disqualification
• Flags are to be obtained by solving the intended challenge; brute-forcing flag submission systems is prohibited
• Sharing flags or solutions with other teams during an active competition is prohibited
• We reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for unsportsmanlike conduct or rule violations
• Decisions by platform administrators regarding competition disputes are final

5. Donations

The Platform may accept voluntary donations to support development and operations. Donations are:

• Entirely voluntary — no goods or services are provided in exchange
• Non-refundable except at our sole discretion
• Not tax-deductible charitable contributions (we are an LLC, not a 501(c)(3))

All donations are processed through third-party payment processors subject to their terms of service.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All challenge binaries, curriculum content, lesson materials, lore, game assets, platform code, trademarks, and branding (including the Binary Jiu-Jitsu name and logo) are owned by Binary Jiujitsu LLC or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any original content you submit to the Platform (e.g., writeups, forum posts). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.

You represent that any content you submit does not infringe on third-party intellectual property rights and does not contain harmful, illegal, or prohibited material.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BINARY JIUJITSU LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; in such cases, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Binary Jiujitsu LLC and its members, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.

Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12 survive termination of these Terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

12. General Provisions

• Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform
• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future
• Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights without restriction
• Updates: We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance
